OK, nvm, it stopped doing it. Just tried VLC, a game and Pigeon and all launched without (Super User) in the window. Apps that were affected were: MEGAsync, qBittorrent, and Opera. I installed each of those outside of the SM without issue. There is a reason I have always avoided such Software Manage...

Any app installed through Software Manager when launched shows (Super User) at the top of its window. Installing VLC to provide an example, I'll provide output shortly.

Every app installed by Software Manager (SM) will only run as super user. Installing via terminal does not do this. Currently trying to install MEGAsync, SM says the name is "nz.mega.MEGAsync" - terminal says no. So a separate issue is SM not stating the actual package name in the details....

Ok, been away for a bit. Going to try some of this but I will point out: this is not connected to my router but directly connected via ethernet cable to both my machines (2 ports/2 cables)

Windows is have issues maintaining connection to it.

It may be the device. It is mapped as a network drive and windows keeps loosing it.

It is a "newer" one, has setting to make it "compatible" with Linux.
