Rebuild from hidden partition like Windoze?

Hi,
Has anyone ever figured out a way of creating a hidden partition build of linux with hotkey restore so if the system crashes it can be rebuilt completely from the HD like most Windoze laptops are today? Any links would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Re: Internal SD card reader not working

am guessing based on this thread

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... bug/366478

that there is no solution to this problem, something changed with the driver a few versions ago and it hasn't worked since.

Re: Internal SD card reader not working

I expect it to mount just like it would an external USB Data drive. I've tried two different cards one from my Dad's camera, what format it is in I don't know, and one from my Android phone, what format again, I don't know, am guessing it's ext* of some kind though.

Menu disappears after installing Nvidia drivers

After I install the Nvidia drivers through the Additional Drivers and reboot the menu disappears, any ideas on what's causing this problem? Other than the simple fact that it has something to do with the nvidia drivers?

Re: Cinnamon 64 on Compaq

I changed the BIOS so that now it's a Plug and Play OS, and was able to add another 1GB, but anything above that and the screen continues to go all wonky.

Cinnamon 64 on Compaq

I have a new install of Linux Mint 13 Cinnamon 64Bit on a Compaq with 1 GB RAM and a GeForce 6150 LE, when I first installed it there was only 512MB but then I tried to add 4GB.
