Re: Driver throttling?
And now it's back to not working again. I did a final timeshift after restoring all of my apps that didn't get restored with the timeshift I had, had it working for multiple reboots. But then after playing around with a live USB of another OS I couldn't even see my wifi card and had to build them al...

Re: Driver throttling?
Hi Thanks I tried everything short of the upgrade to 21 and then tried the powersave again after the timeshift and this time it worked. Thanks so much I thought I was going to be forced to switch to a different OS but it looks like you knew exactly what to do, with a slight order change on my part. ...

Driver throttling?
Hi Everyone Today I updated my kernel to 53 but when I rebooted the custom driver I had previously installed wasn't working so I went back to the instructions and re-installed, I needed to use git/make for the custom drivers again. But now it's throttling, instead of the 54 Mbps I usually get I can ...

Re: New Laptop won't work with current Mint, Nitrux will
It's an ASUS M509. You're right I don't know if it's a driver issue or a kernel issue. I just assumed that it was kernel-related as both Mint Edge and LMDE 5 have pretty current kernels/builds and neither worked. I didn't dive into where the issue was. I should have done that first instead. Thanks.

New Laptop won't work with current Mint, Nitrux will
I recently bought a new laptop and to my disappointment, it won't work with the current build of Linux Mint 20.3 or Edge or LMDE 5. But it will work with Nitrux 2.1 with Kernel 5.16.16. The problem is when I try and run 20.3 it won't connect to my network nor can I connect with my phone through a US...

Re: [SOLVED] UGREEN Bluetooth 5 USB adapter with RTL8761BUV
Once the driver is installed I find that I can't access the internet, whether I have a plugged in connection, USB tether from my phone or wifi, plus my nvidia driver is disabled. I guess I will just have to wait until the official latest kernel comes out as I am still too much of n00b to figure out ...

Re: New HDD Seagate One Touch 4TB error when formatting
OK, I see that it has to do with gparted being run as root and the permissions being set that way, but how do I get it to format so I can use it?

I've been able to format it to 4GB with fat16 but every other doesn't work. I've tried NTFS, ext4, and fat32. Please help, I'm using gparted this is from the saved f...

Hi
Does anyone know of a green screening app for the many video chat software available for Linux?
Like (XSpilt Vcam or Chromacam for Windoz) that can change your background?
