Re: How to make windows remember their maximized state, after they are closed?

The indicator has always been like this. But this is not a cinnamon issue I think. Just the linux kernel and the battery management system that takes a long time to go out of the first %.

Re: How to make windows remember their maximized state, after they are closed?

I have also observed that Firefox opens in a small window since the update to 19.1. I was wondering if it was an issue or just my system. I have my answer now. :?

yes libicu55 is not in the repositories.
It may have been available in the repo of Ubuntu 16.04. Maybe you should check if that was the case and if you could install it manually.

As you mentioned Ubuntu and not Linux Mint, please note that your topic was moved to the open chat section.
In order to help you, it anyways misses a lot of info (OS version, hardware...)

Re: failed to update repositories

It may be that the package list is being sync on the server. You should wait a few hours and the error will resolve by itself normally.

Any businesses that only accept cash I suspect of being scammers, tax dodging frauds, money laundering criminals, or about to go out of business because why else would they not purchase or rent a pay terminal? There is really a huge amount of places in Austria where the debit or credit card is not ...

Re: Mint Cinammon fails to launch

Oh sorry, I had not understood that it was still a problem.

If it was working fine and then the problem appeared I would think it was created by an update.
Did you update the kernel, the graphics drivers or some other critical parts recently?

Can you update the kernel to a much newer version?
Maybe with an ethernet cable? I fear this version of the kernel is simply too old for your wifi chipset.
