The programs work with both MATE and Cinnamon desktops.

The fix to this situation was to download the latest driver source code, purge all previous drivers from the hard drive and compile the source as a DKMS driver.

I have noticed that at random times, my LM wifi network will disconnect from my router. The disconnect is not an Internet problem.
