Re: Cinnamon looks like Mate
Disconnecting the second monitor resulted in a normal working pc. Thanks very much! But how should I connect my second (and in the near future a third) monitor, without having this problems? Should it make difference if I make the settings in Cathalyst Control Center?

Re: Cinnamon looks like Mate
The evil has returned: my Cinnamon is excactly the same as it was two months ago... The only problem now is that I cannot start any application anymore, I only can start a terminal with rmb on the desktop. Does anybody now what might cause this problem? Perhaps an update? Thing I changed since the l...

Re: Cinnamon looks like Mate
edit: problem solved. I shut my pc down from terminal (there I wasn't able to find the power button) with shutdown -t now. I ended in a command line, telling me to press control+D, so I did. It then restarted Cinnamom in the right way, but without internet. I rebooted completely and everything works...

Re: Cinnamon looks like Mate
Well, I have an Ati (or AMD) 6850 grapics card, but I haven't installed any updates since I placed it two months ago. Or might it be caused by an update for my graphics card installed through the Update Manager?

Re: Cinnamon looks like Mate
Sorry, I wasn't really clear. Again, I logged out, and selected Cinnamon to boot in. And again, everything appears multiple times... My graphics card can't be the problem, there I have used it for two months now with Linux. And it's a game card, I can play the most games (GTA IV etc.) on the highest...

Re: Cinnamon looks like Mate
i chose the Cinnamon desktop version... "Last session" was checked... My graphics card is the ATI 6850. It has worked very well for the last two months, and my pc (without GPU) has worked very well too in the months before. Might Blender cause the problem? I installed it (and updates) and ...

Hmm, really strange... When I log out and choose to log in "Cinnamon" I still get the Mate looking desktop... And instead of three Firefox bars, I now get 4 ones :p.

Cinnamon looks like Mate
Hi everyone! After I yesterday installed the updates through the updater, I now boot in a kind of Mate desktop. It's similar to Mate, and all my applets are gone. Luckily my FireFox tabbs were saved. For some reason are there 3 firefox bars in the bottom of the screen. Does anybody know a solution f...

@Oscar799: You're completely right, but since it has a relation with this topic (I followed the How to), I thought it was better to place a comment here, rather than make a new topic.

Re: HOW TO: Solve your LMDE audio issues
Hi there! After reading this topic I tried to remove Pulse and install ALSA. Finally I got it all installed, but now the Sound applet won't show up. I tried a lot of things, but it won't come back. - Restored default applets - deleted all items I don't know in applet location (I didn't delete the ap...

Re: Dualboot W7 Mint; can't boot Mint anymore
Mmm, it's kinda weird. I can view the other partitions in Disk Management, but when I right-click on them, the only option is to delete the partition. I can't find how I should fix this. Does someone know how to fix this?
Thanks in advance.
Andreas

Re: Dualboot W7 Mint; can't boot Mint anymore
Thanks! I really appreciate your help! I actually didn't mean a boot of Linux in W7, but a dual boot (as you probably assumed). I'm going to try the boot repair on the ubuntu forum, right after I finished to get my scanner working in W7
.
Thanks for your help so far!

Re: Install Wine on Linux Mint 13 MATE 64 bit
Hi guys! I recently installed Mint Cinnamon on my laptop, after I tried it a few months on my desktop. The only problem is that Wine won't install. I searched in the software manager (I installed it there on my desktop), but it isn't there anymore. I installed Winetricks via a terminal. Only when I ...
