Re: toram boot of full MINT 13 system

I found that the Eee PC runs great on Knoppix 7.04 using the "toram" option on an 16Gb pendrive loaded with KNOPPIX_V7.0.4DVD-2012-08-20-EN. However th HP DV2500 still seems to have issues with Knoppix. So far Mint 12 LXDE is best on that and I would like to get "toram" option wo...

Re: Mint 13 System Requirements

I installed Mint 13 Maya on my 2GB RAM, 16GB SSD, EeePC 900 (900MHz Celeron).
This makes a good internet machine out of what was a uselessly slow Windows XP paperweight.
Everything "just works" there were no install issues. I installed with a temporarily attached external CD rom.

Artsci2 intro

I'm a linux user since Red Hat 4. 99% of my linux use has been web browsing. I do write big spreadsheets with Gnumeric though. My current computers Aug 2012: eePC 900 with 900MHz Celeron, 2Gb RAM and original 16Gb SSD, (SWEET! HIGHLY RECOMENDED) Mint 13 Maya made this a useable web browser. It was w...
