Re: new installation - create / home partition

Ubuntu Documentation has a webpage (tutorial) dedicated to creating a home partition. It was last edited in 2015, but still appears current. Have a look. Partitioning/Home/Moving I fail to see how that assists the original poster. The article is about "... instructions for migrating your home ...

... I'm dumping it here, you sort it out ... I take it you aren't aware that this is a user forum, for users and by users, and that there are no 'KERNEL GEEK(S) here, let alone 'DEEP' ones. Of great note is that you haven't asked for assistance with the issue at all so there is absolutely no eviden...

Re: Basic hardware troubleshooting

Great tutorial KM...The only thing that i would suggest, is to highlight this one sentence in red along with "B" and "I", (Bold and Italicised), to try to avoid the support questions getting added to this... I would, but it's already in red at the top of the page. I could make 3...

Re: Write permissions on SSD drive From LM to W10

It may have been due to a forced reset or something that cause this bug or error but I dont know for sure. It's unlikely to be any of those, and more likely to be that Windows hasn't been shut down completely. In power management, you need to disable fast or quick boot and disable hibernation, then...

Noob here ... I thought that the RAM use in Win7 was bad. Now I'm in a live Mint session ... I would have expected a smaller percentage in this domain. Experienced Linux user here. I would never expect a smaller percentage. Linux is not Windows, and it manages memory completely differently, so a co...

Re: Do you see what I see?

Four year old story. What are you, an internet archeologist? Reposter supreme? I don't get it :) I haven't seen it reported as anything other than a meteor. The point is, it doesn't appear look like a meteor. I don't believe the age of the video to be relevant to the question of if it isn't a meteo...

Anyhow my analogy of fast twitch muscles was incorrect. I meant something along the line of exercising my brain so it won't atrophy. I liked your analogy. The best meat on a chicken is always the fast twitch meat. Slow twitch meat is the drier, white meat, and fast twitch meat is the darker, more t...
