Anyone know where I can sell Cinnamon/GTK themes?

Is there a good website where I can sell my Cinnamon and GTK themes and earn a little money? I'm in India and banks here don't support the paypal.

Re: mint 15 sudden 'read-only file system' error- cannot sta

DisappearingOak, I looked through your kernel log and the errors depicted there are indicative of a disk failure. The smart attachment also shows a read error rate and although its overall assessment says OK you cannot take that as a cut-and-dry answer. SMART output is complex, confusing and not al...

Re: mint 15 sudden 'read-only file system' error- cannot sta

This happened to me twice in two days. First time a reboot and check filesystem solved it, two days later, again somehow disk became read only and now won't boot. I'm using another distro on another partition now. Could this be a kernel bug? I had kernel 3.11 installed. Is there a way to fix it? I ...

Need help with GTK3 themeing.

Hi. I set about to make a custom GTK 3 theme, but after making changes, I cannot figure out why the theme won't reload in A Widget Factory or any apps, even after restaring Cinnamon shell or logging out and back in. Do I need to use a terminal command or anything to make the theme reload because it ...

Re: Wavy scrolling in Firefox (after playing any game).

This happens also after changing resolution with Xrandr. I think other apps may be affected by it also but it's less noticeable in Chrome. But I saw that the window borders flicker/tear when moving. Maybe changing resolution is causing loss of vsync? If so, How do I force VSync in all cases?

Wavy scrolling in Firefox (after playing any game).

After I play a game in fullscreen that changes the resolution, even though I reset to default resolution and refresh rate on my lcd monitor, I get wavy scrolling in all pages of Firefox. When I scroll, it seems there appears to be waviness. How do I fix it. Disabling hw acceleration and smooth scrol...

Help, installing Nemo File Manager (not the Mint product)!

Hi, I want to install nemo software from www.iola.dk which looks very interesting, it handles your documents and stuff in an organized way like calendar. But I can't instal it because the name conflicts with the Mint File Browser. How do I install it?

Cinnamon is almost there.

It's usable but needs some nice features in the future like task bar groupings, configurable icon-only tasks, window previews, to get to par with other desktops like kde and win7. Or is there extension for that? The desklets feature is nice but useless when there are almost no available desklets. At...

Re: Mate is the best desktop ever out

Cinnamon 1.6 has been very stable for me. It sometimes hangs when changing themes and most of the time zip files won't open because the archive manager refuses to launch, but that's a completely different issue. I hope 1.8 will be as stable. I look forward to the desklets especially. I want beautifu...

Re: KDE, GNOME and Xfce support Wayland... what about Cinnam

As a user, it does not really matter to me what's under the hood as long as I can use my favourite Cinnamon desktop. But I think the shift to the micro-server Wayland possibly has benefits for developers, I don't know, I'm not a dev. But as a user, what I would like to see are faster/less buggy driv...

What features can we expect in Mint 15?

Is there a roadmap? Any info?

Personally, I wish to keep mint 14 and upgrade to Cinnamon 1.8 because mint 14 has been very stable for me. But excited to know about the next version of Mint. :)

No, it doesn't. I tried it, and it opens my RTFs with the markups in plain text. Also, it does not have any formatting tools where I can see them.

Very simple rich text editor needed, with autosave/backup

Hi, I'm looking for a rich text editor. I tried Abiword and libreoffice writer but I need something very simple. I tried Ted and like it very much but there is no autosave with backups. Anyone know a good one? Thanks

Re: Most theme-able & easiest to customize, desktop environm

I've always found KDE to be very ugly. And the third party themes are not very nice either. You might want to try QtCurve theme engine, which is somewhat saner. I think Cinnamon is still a very new project and will probably have more features as development goes on. But it's my favourite desktop. I'...

Thanks. I had tried gDesklets and the clock was really good but the other gadgets weren't working. Screenlets seem to run fine.
