LM 14 KDE graphic drivers installed, but do nothing.

So I have LM 14 KDE and I am having issues with my graphic card drivers. I think I finally managed to get them installed, but they don't do anything. I tried to open Steam and the task on the bottom panel and then disappear. Upon further reading, I determined because the drivers were having issues. ...

Re: KDE Mint 14 No root file system detected

A majority of the threads on this issue were solved using that command. I assume that that is the reason why I can't boot into USB now.

Re: KDE Mint 14 No root file system detected

Well shouldn't I make the first partition a Primary one though? Also, why am I unable to boot into my USB now? I was able to boot into it until I ran "sudo apt-get remove dmraid." Now I just get "BOOT ERROR" in the big BIOS font.

Re: KDE Mint 14 No root file system detected

Well yes I can. I don't know what to call it and stuff. I need room for the swap and the second partition too, right?

Re: KDE Mint 14 No root file system detected

But I can't though. When I boot into GParted I can't do anything with the unallocated space. I can only use the "New" option which doesn't help. Also booting into my USB results in a BOOT ERROR every time I try to boot into my USB now. I haven't tried the fdisk option, but I will be sure t...

KDE Mint 14 No root file system detected

Hey everybody. I have an issue with installing this linux. I had just deleted all the linux partitions that had Mint 13 on it, then update the MBR and got back into Windoze, without a hitch as usual. However it seems that when I try to install KDE Mint 14 64Bit I get "No root file system detect...

GRUB showing too many kernels...

I updated my linux kernel from 3.2.0.33 to 3.2.0.36 but both kernels still show in the dual boot menu. I'll attach a pic for you guys what I mean. Also, everytime I go into Grub Customizer and quit it says I have to update. I hit update but the next time I quit (just open the program then quit) it s...

Thinking about trying a new Linux Distro

Hi all, I'm Scozzar and I am a freshman Computer Engineering major in college currently. I tell you that information because I am starting to do a lot of coding and even more in the coming months, mainly C and Java. I know Windows isn't the greatest choice when it comes to doing that, but I don't kn...
