Re: Is there a way to connect two PCs using USB ports? (Solved)

Levity aside, I found that there are bridge cables that can connect two windows PCs. There's no need for a USB bridge cable if your machines have USB 3.0 ports. USB3 supports direct cable connections between machines by sensing what's on the wires, so they can reconfigure themselves. With USB1 or U...

The error occurred within LO 6.0 and latest form PPA 6.2.3.2. The same with Seahorse 3.20 or 3.32.

What did I missed?
You missed telling us what the error is.

Agreed, I agree to agreeing to disagree, and we agree on everything else, anyway. What an agreeable conversation on this sunny Friday.

Your rig must reach hyper-drive speeds with this :-) I have to weight it down with concrete blocks because when I turn it on, it levitates. So, yes, I suspect that when I get to adding the new kernel, it might disappear into another dimension :) That aside, I think this is an exciting development f...

Re: Non jerky 4K video playback?

I have an i5 desktop machine that is about 6 years old that I have used as a media PC. It currently has an older GeForce GT630 16 pin video card with HDMI output. I am using a Samsung UN65MU6300FXZC 65" 4K smart TV as a monitor. I am using the latest Nvidia drivers. That machine simply can't keep up.

P2P DMA, peer to peer direct memory access - Windwoes has had this highly performance enhancing capability for many years. Those coming to Linux from Windwoes may have noticed that copying files in Windwoes has no discernible impact on CPU or RAM utilisation, whereas on linux, large file copies can ...

clearly shows conky manager as an availible package,
No, it does not. https://launchpad.net/~teejee2008/+arch ... ter=bionic

For Mint 19 you must filter on Bionic.

This set of code is present in EACH paragraph. That's normal for word processors. Even Microsoft Word does it. There are a couple of things you can try. First, paste the HTML into a text editor and use search/replace to remove the tags you don't want. Second, learn the tags you do want, perform you...
