Re: Change undeliverable timeout?

What mail service are you using? I'm not entirely sure. sendmail is installed but I'm not sure if I installed something else also. I tried looking into this earlier and sendmail was the only one I was able to confirm. Trying to poke around in this some more. You may be right about this being anothe...

Some science branches should be forbidden to the priest's senses, because he might question his faith? Is this a rule in all Linux forums?

Re: Dependency is not satisfiable: openjdk-6-jre | openjdk-7-jre

Integrated downloads from within a browser are very slow. Not on my machines. Firefox, Chrome and Chromium all download blazing fast. Like they should. I'm not going to do the time trials to prove the point. There are other advantages, such as controlling the number of simultaneous downloads, defer...

Re: Dependency is not satisfiable: openjdk-6-jre | openjdk-7-jre

Pjotr, Thank you for the advice, but I am a bit curious now, how can I install such a thing in the upcoming future? I disagree with Pjotr's position on this. Integrated downloads from within a browser are very slow. I use and recommend xdman: http://xdman.sourceforge.net/ It opens multiple threads ...

Pretty sure it's generated by something on my own server. I just can't figure out how to control it. Like, if I send to "somebody@localhost", I'll get this message later.

So I'm now wondering why Cinnamon, Xfce, etc., prefer making this slow ass molasses as their default PDF brower.
Thanks!
They're probably using the Mint viewer, I dare say.

OOHH! So most of the problems are with onboard video?
Vega video provided by the CPU, yes. It's too new for the current kernel. The best way to check if you're going to strike issues is to run up a live media on the beast and see how it goes.

Re: LM19 automatic updates for public access

Oh come on, you say you're a computer technician, you're getting paid for this job, yet your questions are getting ever more basic to a point where I'll just say either pick up a book and learn how to do Linux or cut us in on the pay. This may come over as rude but many of those questions above are...

Re: What do you like about KDE?

I can't give up KDE (in the form of latest Kubuntu) because its native PDF reader is so much faster than Cinnamon's, Xfce's, and probably many others. Try comparing them with KDE's by browsing a large sized PDF. KDE is so much faster when it comes to PDF reading. sudo apt install okular will instal...

I had mentioned this in another thread hoping something will get done.
So I decided to make a thread, in case they missed it.
One of the devs, JosephM, I think, referred to it about a month back so it's known about. Unfortunately we don't often see devs here.

Re: Mint Cinnamon on screen casting apps...

Been wondering why Cinnamon is the only one having problem with recorders like Kazam, Vokoscreen... The result of the recorded video is a flickering mess with flashes of whatever is in your background wallpaper. I had waited for improvement since version 17, and the problem still exists. Can't use ...

Just wondering what its advantages to you are.
Lots of options to twiddle, fast and responsive, the list goes on. At the moment I'm running kubuntu-desktop on top of unubtu server. It's stable and looks great.
