Re: Well I give up

Doesn't seem like you can multi quote on this forum, so I'll just quote one person and try to address several different posts. Its not waaaay more stable, its not even way more stable. Mint crashed on me 4 times in roughly 1 week. Your only posts asking for help were related to the size of icons. T...

Don't do that. Since we have official Ubuntu 4.18 kernels there's no good reason to use mainline kernels instead.
We do? Where? How?

I have Mint 19 Xfce and there's only 4.15 kernels listed.

Re: Distro-hopping: my results and impressions

My hardware is old ( mostly from 2008 ). It seems that Kernel 4.4 is the last one that works really fine, here ─ although using 4.9 ~ 4.18 in recently installed distros. But now I have a problem, in the case of KDE Neon ─ because no Kubuntu worked so fine, here, after Xenial, and no Mint has been s...

This happens to me quite often when I change themes. You might try selecting a different icon set and if that fixes it, set it back to your preferred icon set.

Re: Change undeliverable timeout?

Well, unfortunately this can't be sorted until you know for sure if you're using sendmail locally or not, or if some other mailer is running and being used. If you are using a mailserver locally then the first place to look is its configuration. Fair enough. How would I track that down? I can confi...

Re: Change undeliverable timeout?

What mail service are you using? I'm not entirely sure. sendmail is installed but I'm not sure if I installed something else also. I tried looking into this earlier and sendmail was the only one I was able to confirm. Trying to poke around in this some more. You may be right about this being anothe...
