Re: Issues with Bluetooth headphones

Is your Mint fully up to date? There was a pulseaudio update released about six weeks ago that resolved a lot of issues with bluetooth headsets.

Re: Where is zfs.conf? And general RAID question

Or on my non-ECC machine, should I just stick with mdadm? (Or an LSI RAID card? Will be using 12, 4TB drives in RAID 6 on my upgraded Plex server.) I highly recommend going with the RAID card. I suffered a major data loss two weeks ago with mdadm. I accidentally unplugged the server. One disk out o...

Re: Show icons in menus, Show icons on buttons

Sourav wrote:For what are "Show icons in menus", "Show icons on buttons" in Themes(in the Cinnamon version) used for?

"Show icons in menus" is used to show icons in menu items and "Show icons on buttons" is used to show icons on buttons.

Re: Replacement KDE distros... Feedback here!

Just 'cause it's good today, doesn't mean it will be in 3+ years. I'm certain you don't have any insight into the irony of that statement in relation to the upcoming 18.3. Some people enjoy a technical challenge and with Mint dropping KDE after 18.3, for some of us, now is as good a time as any to ...

Re: Replacement KDE distros... Feedback here!

What would you prefer to call it? Discussion. It doesn't make much sense to be looking for a replacement today. Wouldn't it make more sense to wait and see what's available in 2021? How do we know for sure that any of the above suggestions will be viable then? For some of us, it's an opportunity to...

Your recommendation will have the Linux / partition remain at or near the end of the disk = slower system.

Slower by how much? 0.5 milliseconds?

Re: Wierd Reverb Decaying Echo

It shouldn't look like that. It should look like this: ### Automatically load driver modules depending on the hardware available .ifexists module-udev-detect.so load-module module-udev-detect .else ### Use the static hardware detection module (for systems that lack udev support) load-module module-d...

Re: Wierd Reverb Decaying Echo

In a terminal:

Code: Select all

sudo nano -w /etc/pulse/default.pa

Look for this line:

Code: Select all

load-module module-udev-detect

Add tsched=0 to the end of the line, like this:

Code: Select all

load-module module-udev-detect tsched=0

ctrl-o, enter to save, then ctrl-x to exit.

Reboot.
