You don't need Qt for virtualbox.

Re: Looking for details of a Working New VirtualBox on Mint 18.3

The error message is telling you that you've got the wrong version. You need to go back to the site and download the correct version.

FriendDavid wrote:I have the extension pack but do not know how to load it, can you give me a bit of directions on that?

Once virtualbox is installed, just double-click the extension pack in your file manager.

Re: I think I broke apt

Is that from a Linux Mint installation? The line says you're using an ARM repository. What did you do to get that?

Also, post the output of this command:

inxi -Fzxr

Re: I think I broke apt

It would be helpful if you posted the content of /etc/apt/sources.list

Re: log files filling up my computer

You're going to have to find the log that's filling up and read it. I also recommend this, in a terminal: dmesg to see if it lists any errors.

If the linux partitions are all next to each other then I recommend that you consider deleting all of them and creating one contiguous partition for /. That way you're not messing around with mount points.

Have you checked for a stuck delete key? Try some random text in a text editor.

No. You probably broke something and created a dependency issue when you removed those files.

Yes, but what happens when you follow the advice in the thread you were given a link to? And have you verified that you can access your encrypted files when the logs are deleted?
