I'm not sure what happened, but it started connecting again. I guess the router was being difficult or something.

Mint 14 won't connect to my router. [SOLVED]
I have been running Linux Mint 14 for a while now and have had no problems connecting to any routers. I left my home for a five week vacation, and had no issues connecting to any routers while on vacation, but when I got back I was no longer able to automatically connect to my router, and when I tri...

Re: I can't mount my Windows partition
I've been seeing this issue with Mint 14, too. I previously had Mint 13, and I was able to access my Windows partition just fine. Now, however, when I go to open my Windows partition I get an error message that says: "Unable to mount location: No object for D-Bus interface" If anyone knows how to fi...

Re: Did Hamachi mess up my Internet?
Okay, about the same time I downloaded Hamachi my brother started using the 5 MHz broadband connection, which slows down Internet connection for everyone except him. Hamachi wasn't doing it.
And when Hamachi isn't active, there is no open VPN.

Re: Did Hamachi mess up my Internet?
What about when the program isn't on? I don't even have Hamachi active and my Internet speed drops. Or, at least I don't think it's active. I might be wrong on that.

Did Hamachi mess up my Internet?
I recently downloaded and installed Hamachi and Haguichi (because I like having a GUI option) and since then have noticed a drastic drop in my Internet speed. What happened, is there any way to fix it and still keep Hamachi, and, if there is, how do I go about fixing it?

How to put Linux Mint into sleep mode?
My laptop is set to dual boot either in Mint 13 or Windows 7. I've always just restarted my computer and loaded Windows whenever I needed to put my computer to sleep, but I was hoping there's a way to put Mint 13 into sleep mode. Just to specify, I do mean sleep mode, like the one on Windows, not hi...

Re: Is restarting the only way to change OS's?
Is there a way to run the partition of Linux through a virtual machine? I've never dealt with virtual machines before and really have no idea how they work.

Is restarting the only way to change OS's?
I have my computer set to dual boot Mint 13 and Windows 7. It dual boots by partitions (meaning Mint is on one and Windows is on another, AKA it isn't set up as a VM or having Mint installed like a program) and every time I want to change OS's I have to restart my computer and choose the other OS fr...

Re: Install Eclipse from the website?
It launches from the folder, and I went ahead and set up a menu for it. It does what I wanted it to do now.

Install Eclipse from the website?
I downloaded the Eclipse file from their website. I can run it from the Eclipse folder I extracted to, but it doesn't show up under "Programming" in the menu. It doesn't show up at all in the menu. Does anyone know how to fix this and get it in the menu and out of a folder on my desktop?

Re: TF2 black screen issue
It caused no change to enable the S3TC.
The screen isn't completely black, but none of the text is visible. Where buttons should be there is a dark outlined rectangle. The picture of the character appears, but I can't see anything else.

I haven't looked at the thread yet, hopefully it will help.

TF2 black screen issue
I've recently installed the beta Steam on Mint 13 MATE 64-bit and have installed Team Fortress 2 on it. When I go to load the game it gives me a black screen and a cursor. Eventually I can see some images, but the text boxes are blacked out and most of the image is blacked out, too. Does anyone else...

What does it mean when a file is Queued during an update?
Whenever I try to update Mint 13, there's always a certain file that takes a ridiculously long time to download, and after a while it will just say that it's been "Queued" and seems to stop downloading or doing anything. What's going on and what do I need to do, if anything, to fix it?

Re: Can a virus be put on Windows while booting Linux?
So, those instances are all theoretical, and not actual at the moment. So, if there is a virus for Windows attached to a download that is downloaded onto a Linux partition it probably won't jump and spread through partitions, right?

How to create an ISO image? [SOLVED]
Can someone tell me how to take all the files and programs I have on Mint 13 and create an ISO file? I want to put Mint on another computer with all the files and programs I have installed in Mint, but I don't know how to make the ISO image. The CD I got Mint 13 from doesn't have all my programs on ...
