Strange Mint 16 Desktop Icon

Recently from nowhere an icon appeared on my desktop (Mint 16 32 bit) that says "Network Servers", and no package was built to support it. The problem is is that I cannot remove it! I've had Mints: 12,13, &14 but have never come across this before. It's a home desktop, and there are no "network serv...

I was forced to use 13 on my last laptop due to this issue. I'd like to know about the support until Jan 2014. Will there be any supp...

Re: Broadcom BCM wireless problem

Theres a VERY easy way to install the Broadcom BCM43XX driver! Install the Ubuntu Software manager, and you'll find a Broadcom driver and installation that does it all for you with one click! Ubuntu has native support fot BCM43xx, and its available there. It's truly incredible that Mint does NOT hav...

Re: Cannot reformat USB Flash drive.(SOLVED)

I have a similar issue on two different machines. Originally I could copy pretty much any file to my usb flash (fat32), but during one of the updates I ran, not sure which, I could no longer copy ANYTHING to my flash on either machine. I do understand the various answers, IE: bad usb slot; bad flash...
