I posted this over a week ago and haven't gotten a reply, so I'm posting it once more. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks.

Frame Rate Jumpy when Using Screenr

Here is the screencast showing the problem that I submitted to Screenr: http://www.screenr.com/zC1H This was their tech help's final response: I'm not sure but it might have something to do with the operating system or the video driver in relation to the Screenr app. Have you tried recording this in...

Re: No network devices available, no internet access

sudo apt-get install network-manager-gnome No changes. Already contains newest package. sudo apt-get install network-manager Failed. Attempted to connect to the internet (which of course didn't work.) It seems that my network-manager is installed, I just don't know why it's not doing anything.

I tried to reinstall the network-manager with "sudo aptitude reinstall" and I get a message back saying "No file name for network-manager."

Re: No network devices available

Well, I backed up my files and software and reinstalled Linux Mint and everything worked fine again -- for about a day and a half. My computer suddenly turned off again (this time I know it wasn't the battery going dead) and when I turned it on again there were no wireless networks available and no ...

[Moved]: No network devices available

I'm not even sure how to begin to solve this one. I'm running a Linux Mint 13 MATE (64-bit). My computer shut down suddenly [battery was dead perhaps?] and when I restarted it, I get a message saying "no network devices available." I cannot seem to get my computer to detect any networks at...

Re: Getting Windows 7 64-bit to run in Virtualbox

no VT: 32bit versions only. Slower than native CPU.
VT: 32bit or 64bit. As fast as if you were running windows by itself.

Get any 32bit version.

Alright. Thanks for the help.

Re: Getting Windows 7 64-bit to run in Virtualbox

Note that in order to run 64-bit VMs, your computer's processor must support hardware virtualization. For Intel check this link for a list of supported model: http://ark.intel.com/Products/VirtualizationTechnology , for AMD go to the product page and check :) And have you tried enabling I/O APIC fo...

[Solved]: Getting Windows 7 64-bit to run in Virtualbox

I am a newbie running a Linux Mint 13/64-bit/MATE edition. I need to use Visual Studio for a class so I need to have a virtual Windows system. I burned Windows 7 64-bit on a disk. When I try to create a VM for it, at least three unusual things happen: 1. I do not have the option to select between 32...

This also did not work for me, but in my case the command worked in the terminal but I still get the same error message when trying to add mintMenu.

What happens when you try to add the mintMenu back? Right-click the panel, add to panel, mintMenu. I get the following message: "The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:MATE_mintMenu"." Then it asks "Do you want to delete the applet from your configuration?&qu...

Re: How do I get my menu bar back?

Just to be clear on current status; 1) Do you have a panel at the bottom of your screen? 2) Aside from the menu button, is there anything else now show on the panel? 3) Are icons + wallpaper displayed on your desktop? Also curious, did you install any docks like Docky or similar? 1. The panel is th...

Re: How do I get my menu bar back?

This may be trying to squash a fly by swinging an elephant around the room, but you may try deleting all your MATE settings, and then logging out and logging in again. That should reset all your settings to the default. To do so, open your file manager (Alt+F2 should give you the run dialog, from w...
