I lost my home network. I cannot file share to my other computers on it anymore. Don't know what happened. in mint 20.2 cinn...i tried to run the command : sudo grub-install /dev/sda

and get this error message: grub-install: error: cannot find EFI directory.

in gparted i created an EFI directory . but i STILL get this error message.

how do i fix this ?

i am running Timeshift...but somehow it disappeared on me. I can't see it or figure out
how to re-open it so i can see it's progress.

and i get this message:

Failed to open Windows network...failed to retrieve Share List from Server.
No such file or diretory.

so where do i go from here?

geez, tried earch for help...with Samba. on this link: https://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/1861 he says, Samba will show up in the menu...WRONG! Samba shows up....NOWHERE ! even though it is installed from the software Center. this is in Linuxmint 19.1 Cinnamon. Anyone know how to find it ...

i don't have permission to access it.

What are the terminal commands to make me owner of home folder and give me permissions
to post in there?
