grub install command in terminal..does not work
in mint 20.2 cinn...i tried to run the command : sudo grub-install /dev/sda
and get this error message: grub-install: error: cannot find EFI directory.
in gparted i created an EFI directory . but i STILL get this error message.
how do i fix this ?

that helped....thank you. But now i click on it and i get a Windows Network folder. I click on THAT...
and i get this message:
Failed to open Windows network...failed to retrieve Share List from Server.
No such file or diretory.
so where do i go from here?

geez, tried earch for help...with Samba. on this link: https://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/1861 he says, Samba will show up in the menu...WRONG! Samba shows up....NOWHERE ! even though it is installed from the software Center. this is in Linuxmint 19.1 Cinnamon. Anyone know how to find it ...

what works for me is: before using grub-customizer....1. in the Terminal: sudo grub-install /dev/sda or sdb (whichever one has mint on it.) then sudo update-grub. 2. then run grub-customizer: I select pics from pictures folder (pics should be named in lowercase no spaces in the names! resolution set...

I had to reinstall linuxmint 19.1 cinnamon again after a long time. Now i have to connect back to my home network. is there an easy way to do this? I don't remember how i did it before. i'm on my Primary desktop...want to connect to "primary" network and secondary desktop which has Windows...

i am trying to install a firefox tar.bz2 file into a firefox directory in Home folder...but am denied and says
i don't have permission to access it.
What are the terminal commands to make me owner of home folder and give me permissions
