Good point. However, AFAIK there are no newbie friendly GUI sandbox tools like sandboxie in Linux. Chrome creates its own sandbox at runtime FWIW.

... much do the same thing. Easier to use GUI tools seem to be very much lacking in Linux, I don't think there's any equivalent of something like sandboxie.

I am looking for a solution other than virtualization, where I can sandbox/isolate a browser from the OS be it: brave, chrome, chromium, firefox, etc.

What are my options? Is there a tried+tested technology available on Linux that is similar to Sandboxie on Windows?
