If you download screenlets (type the name in the deb section of the software portal) there are a couple of widgets you can fix to your desktop that will show you the core/ambient temperatures of your GPU as given by Nvidia settings. I *think* that to upgrade a "hotmail" account to a "windows live hotmail" account you might have to run the live mail/messenger/everything else installer if the link on this page is anything to go by. It seems a bit odd if you do as I upgraded my old hotmail account during the beta testing stage and...

Thanks. I couldn't pin down the offending package so I just went with the much simpler "solution" of reinstalling the OS. Strangely it updated all those files again but this time everything works without any issues.

Roll back updates?

Is there a way to roll back updates to a previous version? I updated 7 items through mint update yesterday and one (or more) of them seems to have "broken" internet access from this machine. Every page loads extremely slowly or not at all (loading this new topic took 3 attempts and about 15 minutes)...
