The problem is basically this: If I move a card off the window edge and back, it isn't getting redrawn properly. I thought totem had died a long time ago. I used it years back on debian but have never got it to work on mint. or the gnome media player. I have tow systems here, both mint 14. Frankly, speaking, what we are doing here seems to be a waste of time. The facts seem to suggest that the combination of CPU "AMD Athlon 64 x2" and GPU "NVidia GeForce 6100 n405" may be a no-go on more recent Mint releases. The articles / forum threads that I could find do not mention this combinat...
