Re: 100+ titles in Steam already :-)

A waste of a whole dollar in my opinion. Most of the linux games seem to be fairly poor. I wouldn´t call Counter Strike poor, but you got a point. Most games are small indie games. On the other hand, I haven´t payed much for my games, all of them was on sale, and I really want to support Steam for ...

Re: 100+ titles in Steam already :-)

I´ve bought 11 games so far. Thinking about buying Oil rush, which was released the day before yesterday.

The most games are FPS though, missing some good strategy and RPG games. I´ve try´d Champions of Regnum, but the graphics
won´t work properly unfortunately.

Just bought Amnesia: The dark descent for 3.74€. :)

It´s nice when games cost the same as two packages of milk. :D

Re: Wine and PlayonLinux for windows games?

You can search for the games you´ve listen on Wine´s app browser and see how good they are performing. Personally I´ve never used PlayOnLinux, so I´m not sure how it works. But it might be worth a try.

Re: Initial tweaks when installing Mint 13 Xfce

I like having an keyboard shortcut to popup the menu. However there´s no default in XFCE, and it´s not native in the Keyboard - shortcuts either. However it´s simple to add. Just go to menu > settings > keyboard and then ´Application Shortcuts` press ´Add` and write: xfce4-popup-applicationsmenu Cli...

Re: Which Steam games would like to play on Linux?

I dont really like CSS it does not play the same as the original game and is very poor for hit boxes and hit registration. Which is why you sometimes get shot after moving out of the line of fire. Generally the gameplay in CSS is poor compared to the skill of the original 1.6 version. CS:GO is look...

Re: Which Steam games would like to play on Linux?

I'm really only waiting for cs:go but I might be tempted by Age of Empires :) What´s so special about CS:GO? Just curious, I´ve only played CS 1.6 and now CS Source since it was really cheap on the sale. But the only real difference I`ve notice so far is the graphics. Would be great if more games s...

Re: Install programs on another partition?

Thanks for replying. eanfrid: This might work, the problem is that I have no idea which folders I should mount and bind. It´s annoying, because one may add other folders in Steam for it to install games on, but when I´m trying to install something it just goes for the SSD. Maybe I should try with St...

Re: Install programs on another partition?

Well Steam itself is not that big. But the games are, for example Team fortress 2 is about 10 GB.

Install programs on another partition?

I have one SSD with 20 GB which I´m running root and swap on, and one 500 GB hard drive for movies etc. My problem is that I´ve installed Steam and want to buy some games to play. But Steam is installed on my SSD, and one can not change where games are installed, so it is on the SSD, which doesn´t h...
