I finally got around to play with this script...

when I try to start it (I used sudo sh mobloscript.sh) I get the following:

8: Syntax error: Bad substitution


seems to be the problem with the $internet line... but I'm too dumb to figure it out, so .... HELP :D

not only is it resource hungry - it makes my laptop melt from heat cuz it keeps it at 100% proc all the time while indexing..... hence it is the first thing to remove from my system after install... :)

okay... a friend asked me to poke around and see if anyone has any ideas about this problem... When connecting his new USB speakers to the cassandra gnome laptop he goes to the control center/sound and sets everything to USB... test shows okay and plays a sound... every other program (i.e. amarok) h...

It looks really "elegant" and might add that final "cherry on top"... :)

I know what you mean though. I had similar troubles on OpenSUSE 10.2 ... e.g. Nvidia stuff would stop to work sometimes after a kernel update, things like that. I haven't seen this yet on Ubuntu though. Not yet. Maybe I was just lucky so far? .... Wink lol... I install the new KDE Community edition...

I get this error at the end of every install while the message is restoring your APT sources:
close failed: [Errno 9] Bad file descriptor


it than reports a succesful install...


is this normal?
