Re: Ivideon ip cam software for Linux

Thanks, Joe.
Just found the reply. The board use to send replies to the user, but I guess no more. You say
I simply added a gksu ppa and the ivideon ppa and it worked fine.
What do you mean added the two ppa's

Re: Ivideon ip cam software for Linux

I just got this from Ivideon. According to our data, Mint 19 version is based on Ubuntu 18.04 build, which at the moment cannot be used to install our server software (it doesn't support GKSU, that is required for proper work of Ivideon Server application). From our side we should admit, that future...

Brand new laptop and I installed Mint 19. Oh well. Hopefully they'll update their stuff because it won't work.
Thanks

I ran the line you gave me xed admin:///etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf to see where the problem may have been. Can you see it? Re: HP Laptop with Advanced Micro Devices no audio

YeHaaaaa... I'm back with sound. I guess the first install was bad. Thank you for all of your help. Love the TimeShift. Worked great. Had me back up and running in 10 minutes with all that I had. Needed to install Mint first, but no problem anymore. Use to be a bear.
Thanks again!

I'm sure the edits nothing to do with it and it was on my side. I don't blame you in the least. I really don't mind reinstalling. I did make a back up with Timeshift and wonder if I can reinstall with it, or if I do the install and then use Timeshift.
Thanks

I'm sure it was something I messed up, but with the last edit, it blew me right out of the water and now over here on my windows side. Is there any way I can bring Mint back up? Said it was going into default mode, or something like that and just stayed there with the cursor and black screen. Tried ...
