Re: Gnome 3

Xfce might be the way to go. Paul Thats what I am thinking....Xubuntu Jaunty is pretty nice. I wish Mint had a 64bit Xfce install....If it is just a matter of compiling the packages I would be willing to do that....though at this point I would need some training. When mint 7 comes out...I may insta...

Gnome 3

I was looking at Gnome 3 some today and i'm not sure if it goes well with me. I find GnomeZeitgeist interesting, but the whole Gnome Shell thing i'm not sure about. It makes me wonder if I would be better off heading the XFCE or KDE way. I was just wondering what everyone thought, and if you read th...

I like the debian idea....let alone if mint could be a rolling release cycle.

Re: Mono Free

In addition, as a suggestion to others who may also wish to remove mono from their systems, another good replacement for Tomboy is Zim. Also, if others might be using F-Spot, when that is removed, gThumb is a good replacement. Thanks for the input, I was wondering what I was going to do about photo...

Mono Free

Well I removed all things mono today, nothing seems broken, the only apps that needed it were gnome-do(which I don't use) and tomboy which I replaced with gnote. All seems well.

Minimize on Urban Terror***SOLVED*

While playing urban terror now and then I leave full screen and it goes to a window. I then have no cursor or mouse control. The only way to get out of it i've found so far is to ctrl-alt-bkspc and log in again....anyone else deal with this?

Turning off desktop effects stops this.

Remove thunderbird

I went to remove thunderbird and it wants to remove package called mint-meta-gnome and mint-meta-main. Will this screw my system up, and if so, how can I remove thunderbird without removing these packages?
