Re: Dual-boot Win7 & LM16 Mate Now - Upgrade Method to LM17?

Re: Dual-boot Win7 & LM16 Mate Now - Upgrade Method to LM17?

Thank you for your help and detailed input, gtsfer. Greatly appreciate it!

Don't think I have UEFI.....as this laptop is several years old now.....think it was released in 2010.....

Left the laptop at work, so, will try to post a screenshot of partitions tomorrow....

[SOLVED] Dual-boot Win7 & LM16 Mate-Upgrade Method to LM17?

Currently dual-boot Win7 and LM16 Mate now on my little Sony VAIO P (Gen II) mini-laptop.

Works great now and don't want to screw it up if I upgrade to LM17.....

Is there a a way to install or upgrade to LM17 without wiping out my Win7 install and how it dual-boots now?

Thanks,

Mark

Re: Deleted LM15 - Now Install LM13 Problem

Thanks again for all your help. Greatly appreciate it! No worries about VirtualCloneDrive..... Yes, it loaded iso, but then it had button to reboot to run it....so, of course it got interrupted by grub..... Think this program assumes you're not using grub, etc... Anyway, as noted, I'm running LM16 n...

Re: Deleted LM15 - Now Install LM13 Problem

Tried using VirtualClonDrive, but when laptop reboots it goes to grub2 boot selection screen. And of course, LM install is not a choice.

Anyway to circumvent this?

Thanks.

Deleted LM15 - Now Install LM13 Problem

Had LM15-Mate running well and dual-booting with Win7 on my little Sony VAIO P laptop (model VPCP11AKJ). Unfortunately, was careless in trying to delete some directories on a SD card and you guessed it, I deleted the LM15 directories instead.....hate it when that happens!.... :) Can still boot up Wi...
