Re: dudas sobre versiones de Mint

Saludos.

Re: I was told not to use CLI

It's a shame to see that you don't recognize the benefit of handling terminal commands Okay, as I said before, the terminal is very powerful and therefore, is the greatest benefit (in addition to others). The point is that in inexperienced hands, a single command can easily destroy the system witho...

Re: Incorrect time in Mint 15 XFCE

Yes, is safe. About Multiple Boot: Make sure you have synchronized your three operating systems in UTC. I do not recommend setting any system's multiple boot in localtime, because If using the localtime standard the system clock will not be changed for DST (Daylight Saving Time) occurrences assuming...

Re: Installation boots straight into grub

Unetbootin version from the official repositories, not the most updated, you need to install the latest version (585): 64 Bits or 32 Bits And if it does not work (I stopped using it because it randomly fails), I recommend that you [url=http://www.pendriv...

Re: Soundcard Remains active in windows

Is normal in Windows 8. Windows with every release becomes slower in the shutdown / boot of the PC, in Windows 8, have decided to make official their trick to "pretend" that the system does it faster than any other. I speak of the famous hybrid shutdown, which is a combination of hibernation with sh...

Re: Search application

your problem is not well defined:

Here the date refers to the synchronization:
the capability to only copy files after a certain date.
Here the date refers to the files / folders:
makes it easy to copy files from a folder and subfolders based on date
Your request is unclear.

Problema: instalar windows en Disco totalmente ocupado por Mint. Soluciones: A) Respaldar y reinstalar Mint y Windows. Muy lenta. B) Redimensionar la partición y crear espacio libre para windows hacia la derecha. Tal vez funcionará, Windows por lo regular presenta problemas si no se instala en la pr...

Forget this. elbendecido will find any lame excuse to hide his lack of experience with terminals and trying to convince everybody that Linux works like Windows.....only by a GUI. Don't forget this:
Defining the hardware clock in Linux as UTC means that Daylight Saving Time will automatically be accounted for. If using the localtime standard the system clock will not be changed for DST occurrences assuming that another operating system will take care of the DST switch

Re: I was told not to use CLI

Then they came to GNU/Linux for wrong reasons if they expect to have nothing new to learn and to recycle their Windows "skills". A Linux distrib is definitively not Windows. WRONG , Would not be selfish, do not think only what you need, in case you did not know there are users who do not want to be...
