Re: Cinnamon just crashed

In addition to what @karlchen says, there is also an Xedgers repository, but many consider this unstable for day to day use because it is newer releases that X swat.

Re: Drivers for AMD APU - Xfce on KDE - disable touch mouse

As Ive said.. i dont have a graphics card.. didnt you under stand what an APU is? Again.. it's a hybrid.. with I suspect a different type of driver than a single processor or graphics card that are separate devices .. your answer as you wrote to to my original question, doesn't make sense. I dont n...

Re: Help. noob

P.s. I can't read what the 3rd choice is on that installer picture you posted. Do you happen to remember what that choice was? The third choice reads "Use LVM with the new Linux Mint Installation.". My suggestion would be for @shr1439 would be to boot back into Windows, do a disk defragementation, ...

Re: password

If you change your password again, there is a strength meter that gives you a rough idea of how strong it is in the Cinnamon Control Panel.

If you can find your password in a dictionary, change it.

Re: Drivers for AMD APU - Xfce on KDE - disable touch mouse

Im Bumping this cus it's getting lost on the second page and I havent had any replies. You don't need to bump it, it's just that no-one has got around to posting an answer about your problem. As for your actual post: I want to be sure the drivers Mint is using are the correct optimized drivers for ...

Re: Help. noob

Any versions of Linux out there anyone knows will install on ATI chipset. Mint definitely runs with an AMD A4-3305M APU, though I had to add nomodeset to the kernel line in order to get the graphics card to run. After that, it installed fine (all the options for installation were there) and works l...

Re: Mint 15 x64 Cinnamon 1.8.8 Memory Leak

For the past few days I've been running the nightly builds of Cinnamon, nemo, etc. I run the nightly builds from this repo on my Linux Mint 13 installation, and I haven't noticed a crazy memory leak like in 1.8.8. That said, I need to put it through its paces first before I can say anything for sure.

Re: Mint 15 x64 Cinnamon 1.8.8 Memory Leak

Hi, So technically I'm not running this on Linux Mint (this is on my ArchLinux installation), but I am having the same problem with Cinnamon 1.8.8 and RAM usage going out of control. I have downgraded the "cinnamon" package to 1.8.7 on that installation and I am going to repeat the process with a fr...
