Re: Adobe Flash update authentication warning

This same problem has returned with this new fresh install of LinuxMint 18.1 Cinnamon 64bit with the adobe-flashplugin 1:20170214.1-0ubunt0.16.04.1 update. Any ideas to fix this?

Re: LM-17 Cinnamon is not good for gamers. - SOLVED

I've since decided to give the Cinnamon desktop environment another try with LinuxMint 18.1. And I'm happily surprised to see that it works beautifully for games and video with my Nvidia GTX 750. I bought two games from gog.com, The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition and Flatout 2. They both run beautifully...

LM 18.1 Cinnamon 64bit - Freezes when rebooting from login screen

I have a strange issue that has been going on since several LinuxMint versions back and is now more consistent than ever in LinuxMint 18.1 Cinnamon 64bit. If I need to reboot or shutdown from the login screen, the monitor will go completely black and only show the mouse cursor, and it freezes there ...

Re: Adobe Flash update authentication warning

I completed another fresh install of LinuxMint 18.1 Cinnamon 64bit. First thing I did was change the mirrors for the software sources. After updating the cache I got the same error regrading the release file not found. Restored an image of this install and ran: sudo apt update Got the following term...

Re: Adobe Flash update authentication warning

Since there doesn't seem to be any solutions to this so far, I'm going to spend some time re-installing LinuxMint 18.1 Cinnamon 64bit again. And seeing if I can find out at what point this software source error message comes up when changing the source mirrors. Starting with a fresh install with not...

Re: Adobe Flash update authentication warning

Thank you karichen for trying to help. It's much appreciated. I opted to do a fresh re-install of LinuxMint 18.1 Cinnamon 64bit to resolve the problem since yourself or anyone else was not able to come up with a solution. And I even did my own extensive searching for this issue and came up with no s...

Re: Adobe Flash update authentication warning

Yup, I get it. The software source does indeed have a release file. So why would my LM 18.1 install believe it does not? Perhaps we could get user Pepi to post some diagnostic info too to see if it's similar?

Black background login screen after update from 17.1 to 17.2

So I have an admittedly cosmetic issues since upgrading from 17.1 to 17.2 for XFCE 64-bit version, and also upgrading to the recommended kernel version 3.16.0-38. The Default LinuxMint Theme for the login window does not show it's pictures. It is just completely black. Still able to login via this w...
