Some people, including myself, have had more success in using a a new version than is in the repos. Check to see if the version there will work for you. http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/index.html

Audio problems with mics

Hi, First let me mention that my computer dual boots Windows 10 and Mint 17.0 with Kubuntu. There is no problem on the Windows side. I have an internal and an external mic. At one point a few weeks ago the internal mic was recording when I was trying to record from another source. Of course, that wa...

I often just use Google Drive. Upload the file on one computer and download it on the other.

Re: Update Manager wants to remove files

Thanks so much for your help.

Kde-Connect is working fine. I wasn't able to connect using Bluetooth so it does what Bluetooth would do and so much more.

Re: Update Manager wants to remove files

No, it doesn't want to remove anything. Actually after I removed the PPA for clipgrab it no longer wanted to remove the other programs. I just got a Samsung phone and I wanted to install KDE-Connect. It didn't work when i installed the version from the repos. I read something online that seemed to s...

Re: Update Manager wants to remove files

Hi phd21, I'm not sure what happened but I tried to post a history of my activity as a text file but it's not here. Let me try again now. I know what happened. I tried to upload a .txt file. This time I'm using a .doc file I did remove the PPA for clipgrab and on Sunday I added a PPA for Kubuntu bac...

Thanks for your help. Is there any way to find out what other program besides Clipgrab that isn't being upgraded?

Re: Update Manager wants to remove files

phd21, I already had been thinking along the same lines that you suggested. I have You Tube-dl and it's gui installed already.

Laurent85, here is the output that you asked about.

0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 2 not upgraded.

Re: Installation of HP all-in-one scanner

A number of HP users have had the same problem. I had the same problem. There is an HP open source problem that might solve your problem. It solved mine. Here is the website. http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/index.html Check to see if your printer is listed.

Re: HPLIP UPGRADE 3.15.9

I have HPLIP installed on 2 different computers sharing the same printer. At some point I got a notice about an upgrade but when I tried upgrading I ran into problems with the installation. I agree with Jimallyn. If it's working, don't upgrade. I even turned off notifications.
