Ubuntu and Mint
Yes definitely. Clem The reason for Mint's success is the fact that it uses Ubuntu as it's base, Which means having all the repositories available in Ubuntu. But improvements added by Mint are welcome and desirable. Adopting what's better, even if it comes from another Linux flavor, is a wise choic...

RSS feed
Hello Clem,
I tried the Mint RSS feed and was redirected to Ydemos at every entry.
It's a good way to brush up on my French, but....Je ne suis pas tres bon avec mon Fransais,
Thought you would like to know about this bug.

Hi Clem,
May I suggest Gbebi to be added as a default package to BEA?
Next question: What happened to Linux Mint and Linux Mint Forum bookmarks in Firefox? Am I the only one to have lost them?

Exaile, great
Hello everybody,
I just installed Exaile on BEA and I found out I can have many flavors of music, from Opera to Blue Grass. All the stuff coming from radio stations without interruption.
Great for background music while browsing the Web.
Exaile came as default in Barbara.

Hi, We've tried Picpac's layout and it looked better than the original. However, we got our final inspiration from the Tomboy Notes website and designed a version of our own based on their CSS. Have a look here and tell us what you think. http://linuxmint.com/index2.html Clem Clem, going to this li...

Nice website. Can't find any flaws so far. Maybe adding a little color to it would make it more attractive.

The Mint
Hello everybody, It's good to see more and more people in the Forum. I guess, like me, they found this distro very attractive, This is what somebody should have done with Ubuntu long ago; give it a good and thorough sprucing up. In other words a good paint job was needed. Of course the extra softwar...

Hi Alephcat,
It's not a bad idea to see where everybody in the forum comes from. I Besides, it makes the Forum attractive to the eyes.

I was only kidding, Fragadelic. But I think I started the movement myself, when I asked Clem if MInt was a Canadian- based project.
You know, the French and all.
But I'm trying to use Socrates as my avatar. Don't you think the fellow deserves it?
