You can install it from the Software Manager - search for gnome-disk-utility
It will then be available from the Menu in "Preferences".

caribriz
thanx - that works just fine.

Re: Linux Mint 12 "Lisa" released!

i didn't like m12 from the get-go, still don't - useless redundancy, many more clicks required with less options than m10 or m11. i still don't exactly "like it". however, two of my machines will not function with m10 or m11, and i've been running m12 on them for about 3 months and living with the d...

Re: Linux Mint 12 "Lisa" released!

the bottom line for me is .... AMD - m12/gnome3 is a disaster with most amd products. i could care less about mate. if the entire product doesn't work well, stop offering it until it IS a quality product. most amd products will work with mx/gnome2, but there can be limitations such as restricted scr...

Re: Linux Mint 12 "Lisa" released!

Disappointed with Ubuntu 11.04 we began searching for a more acceptable Linux distribution, and gave the Linux Mint 11 live DVD a try which we found preferable, and decided to wait for Linux Mint 12 as it was soon to be released. Once Linux Mint 12 was released, we downloaded the DVD iso and wanted...

Re: Linux Mint 12 "Lisa" released!

... Unfortunately I lost some data when I changed my home from a directory to /home and used the partition that held my LM11 backup. I left "format" unchecked in the hope it would leave my data intact...but it didn't. I may look around and see if there's some data recovery software that will bring ...

Re: mint 12 BOOT manager ...

hah! the easy way for me was to blow away the hd, reload win7, then m12, and lastly m10 ...

yes, m10 is that smart os with the built-in, easy access, intelligent, user friendly, grub boot loader control panel access.

@rfd: if you think gnome 2 was so polished when it first came out...guess again...it had to evolve...so does gnome 3...don't be so quick to condemn... well, you don't have to use it if you don't want to....I will and am very much enjoying it too... I think Clem did a terrific job with min...

Re: Linux Mint 12 "Lisa" released!

lemme preface the below outpouring of my mint12 frustrations by saying that there IS much good within the mint devs and i heartily applaud the years of work that's gone into creating what i think is the best linux platform. mint10 is THE BEST linux distro around, bar none. it has everything most an...

doh, no dude, it's NOT about the wait or inconvenience  it's just another thing missing or that isn't newbie user friendly or non productivity functional or aesthetically pleasing about mint12. what genius would it have taken to dupe the classic functional/tweak app items from earlier mint rel...

Re: Linux Mint 12 "Lisa" released!

i, too, applaud clem and the entire mint team. my work demands that i'm online at least 14 hours a day, 7 days a week and i've been a firm mint user since m6 felicia arrived. every new mint version has been a keeper in terms of everything - ease of use, functionality, productivity, and user aestheti...
