I think that the latest version for Mint13 LTS is 4.4.7, which still has this bug.

Thanks for all the previous responses. After aggregating all the information here and in the install PDF I managed to resize my single partition and install Mint without any disasters. Hi,

I recognize these problems from the first week I was using Mint13. In my opinion
Firefox sometimes causes the system to freeze. My problems were gone after
switching to Google Chrome.
