I have Linux Felicia on board and am getting ready to install Gloria. I have created a Gloria boot disk (via torrent) and it sits on my desktop. I have tried to check the MD5 signature as per instructions in the Official User Guide, but with no response. I have opened a terminal and typed in: cd cd ...

I am a novice, but have managed to install a second hard drive on my computer. I have two drives one for Windows XP (rarely used) and one for Linux Mint. Started with Elyssa and I got this terrific dual boot option on start-up with Elyssa as the default. Along came Felicia and I installed it (God kn...

I had no x in the top right hand corner or the usual minimise icons. I took your advice AgingTtechnogeek and while it did not seem to register ('not found' response) it has cured my problem. So many thanks. I now have the icons I need in the top right corner and can also grab the top or side of the ...

When I go to the Linux Mint home webpage (default) I have yet to discover how to reduce the size of the page on view if I want to do some other work without having to close the web page window. Not sure if this is a L...

Have read the Mint manual and tried to use the terminal (for the first time) to restore the default setting, but t...

Hi there I am brand new to Linux. Had only used Windows previously. A point, drag and click person I guess. Late last year decided to explore Linux. My son suggested Linux Ubuntu or Mint. Decided to go with Linux Mint Elyssa but was very cautious and purchased a second hard drive and put it in. Lear...
