It also seems that at least @AndyMH is looking for the same. It would be highly appreciated if someon...

As it seems that the logout did not run well, I just switch of power (power button 10sec). Restarting the machine again the normal l...

Re: Cinnamon Workspaces - What are they good for?

I agree with Moem that work spaces can be organized to have certain apps going in each one with different background colors if you choose. Once you get your regular apps setup how you want them there is a tick box in the log out menu to save session for future logons and if checked all will be rest...

Cinnamon Workspaces - What are they good for?

I am using on my workhorse PC LM 17.3 KDE since 17.1 (?). The main reason for using KDE DE are the "activities", which can be set up each in a different way starting from the background to different "widgets" in different positions of an activity screen. I use different activities for projects with ...

Re: icon don't change in Dolphin

@ Hoser Rob

Thanks for your reply.

Cinnamon is not bad, but for me KDE is the more suitable DE. So I try to use Cinnamon in ways close to my way of working in KDE.

I understand your comments about the icons. How can I identify icons used by Cinnamon and KDE?

What das GTK stands for?

Re: icon don't change in Dolphin

@Hoser Rob

Thanks for your feedback.

Except for the icon colors Dolphin works very well. I installed it from the LM 19.0 Cinnamon Software Manager. It just seems that Dolphin cannot pick up the new icon set.

Re: each workspace a different background

@smurphos Thanks for your help. I will dig into this later and get back to you. A slow down in the transition between workspaces will not be that important. Is there a chance that a different background for each workspace will become available at 19.1. or 19.2 or is it very much up in the air and mi...

icon don't change in Dolphin

LM 19.0 Cinnamon

I replaced the Cinnamon default icon set and the icons appear everywhere but not in Dolphin. Dolphin displays the default Cinnamon (green) icons

Restarting did not solve the issue.

How can I get Dolphin to show the installed new icon set?

Thanks for help!

Re: each workspace a different background

Thanks for your feedback.

This is a heavy drawback on my move from KDE to Cinnamon.

Such a feature should be standard whenever the workspace etc can be created.

I don't want to go the kubuntu but there it is all standard as it was in LM KDE. LM 17.3 KDE worked excellent for me.

transparent folders on a workspace

LM 19.0 Cinnamon In KDE Plasma 4 there is a translucent folder available which can be placed on each activtiy screen. This allowed, 1. the background image still being nice visible, 2. to have a collection of activiy specifis folders and file quickly at hand. I example: DesktopFolderKDE.jpg In Cinna...
