Re: Double icons since 19.3 update

I wonder if it has anything to do with this, since 19.3 "Version 1.6 of libxapp introduces a new system tray solution called XAppStatusIcon." https://www.linuxmint.com/rel_tricia_cinnamon_whatsnew.php Good call. Disabling Xapp Status Applet gets rid of the duplicates. Don't know yet if disabling th...

Re: Best Wifi Adapter for New Laptop Install?

That's what I was thinking also Larry, but it was just a semi educated guess. I think I will do that as that is the prefered laptop anyhow.

Thanks!

Best Wifi Card for New Laptop Install?

Hey guys, I am ready to install to another laptop as the last one didn't work very well with the Wifi Card: Broadcom Limited BCM4313. Don't know if these will be any better. Last time I Installed Kubuntu and hoping Mint's Cinnamon will work better. These are the Laptops and Cards in them, would some...

Re: Create Custom Linux Live USB

Yes, very aware! I need Teamviewer 12 support, so anything before that also. 12 Won't install to new distros and the 18 series mate had file manager issues.

Re: Create Custom Linux Live USB

I appreciate the link but that is Way to complicated for me, and I've always hated Ubuntu documentation. They always assume you are already competent enough to do all this stuff so blow over all the actual steps in plain english.

Create Custom Linux Live USB

I would really like to create a custom Linux Live USB for specific personal uses. What I want is a Linux Live USB of Mint's Mate 17.3. I will include support for exFat as there is none in 17.03 and I need that. I will also Install Teamviewer 11 I think it is, as that's the one I tested recently, 12 ...

LMDE 3 Cindy Bad Shutdown

I just booted LMDE 3 Cindy in a live session and went to shut down but am greeted with a black screen but the computer is still running! This is not good, this is on one of my personal work computers, what gives with the bad shutdown. There is no warning like Mint's Cinnamon to pull the medium and p...

Re: File Manager gets stuck in Panel Mate 18.0

Thanks guys :D I'm now looking into Debian's Mate just in case it works better. I've waited for years to see if this issue was resolved and it was not so time to move on I guess. I've tried Ubuntu's Mate and don't like it, it's good just not what I like. I've liked Mint's versions the best for years...

Re: File Manager gets stuck in Panel Mate 18.0

Hey guys, I hope someone will see this as it is like pulling teeth trying to figure out where to post this stuff! I'm not running Mint Mate now so I'm not sure if I can post a bug report through a Live Session or not? Here is it, hopefully one of the mods will see this and pass it on. Panel Bug was ...

Re: Windows is so Silly

Yes, and the whole reason I posted is because Windows takes so long to do anything. One thing in particular is USB Flash Drives. Sometimes takes forever for another Windows Computer to recognize my new Samsung T5 SSD, and same thing with Flash Drives. Linux will just Read the Drive immediately, I lo...
