Re: Luckybackup says ext drive isn't mounted when it is

I was just researching this today and found out it is a known issue in v0.4.7 which is unfortunately the version we have in the repo. It all depends on whether the directory you pick as destination is at the mount point. https://askubuntu.com/questions/533593/external-hdd-not-mounted-error-for-backu...

Re: Nemo in 17.1 - Where to get more emblems?

EDIT: Disregard the following, since the problem still exists. Sally, thanks! And thanks, austin.texas, you were right about it being the icon theme. I installed both gnome-brave and gnome-wise icons and after logging out and back in, I have the full set of emblems. :D :D :D In my case, I can...

Good to know, Sally. Now the question is, does anyone know how to fix it?

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 “Rebecca” Cinnamon released!

I posted a thread elsewhere trying to solve why after the upgrade to 17.1, I only have 14 emblems available when there are supposed to be about either 27 or 37, according to screenshots I've seen. I realized I should probably have asked in this thread.

Re: Nemo in 17.1 - Where to get more emblems?

I don't have "gnome-brave", but I have regular gnome, hicolor, and all the Mint-X ones (which you would expect it to work with) and no matter which icon set I use, I still have the exact same set of only 14 emblems, so that must not be it. I also tried setting the Desktop theme to Mint-x but that di...

Nemo in 17.1 - Where to get more emblems?

I just upgraded Mint Cinnamon from 17.0 to 17.1. In the What's New blog post it shows a screenshot of the emblems that can be added to folders or files in Nemo, there are 27 shown ( http://www.linuxmint.com/pictures/screenshots/rebecca/nemo_emblems.png ). I was looking forward to marking several fol...

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 “Rebecca” Cinnamon released!

In the Edit menu!?!? Well, I never would have seen that if you hadn't told me! Thanks, Edit to ask another question. There are some Level 4 and level 5 updates listed. Should I or shouldn't I install those before doing the upgrade to 17.1? Also: Is the upgrade going to download another whole system ...

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 “Rebecca” Cinnamon released!

Does this announcement mean that we (normal users) can now upgrade from Mint 17 Cinnamon to 17.1? If so, how do we do it and if not, is this thread where I should keep watch for an announcement and instructions? I'm confused (new to Mint with 17) and just want to make sure I don't miss the update wh...

Re: Firefox keeps switching default spellchecker dictionary

I have the same problem, but I don't want to use your solution since I want to get the latest FF updates through the normal update process. Hopefully there is an alternate solution to the problem. BTW I suspect the problem is from Mint, not Ubuntu, since I never had the issue before when I ran Ubunt...

How did you remove phonon-backend-gstreamer without removing minitube which specifies it as a dependency, even the one in the noobslab repo?

Re: How to use Minitube? (it does nothing)

OK, I uninstalled minitube, then added the PPA and reinstalled v 2.2 from noobslab PPA. It plays the videos now! Thanks! As for repeating instead of going to the next video--yes it has that problem. However if enter the command to remove phonon-backend-gstreamer, it says minitube would be removed. S...

How to use Minitube? (it does nothing) [SOLVED]

Hi, I'm using Mint 17 cinammon and installed Minitube, which I have never tried to use before, but keep reading that it's great. Well, it starts, lets me search and find videos, but will not actually play the video. I tried to use the download option, but it just displays Preparing with a progress b...

Under Settings, Keyboard, Keyboard Shortcuts tab there are a bunch of pre-defined actions that you can use or change the keybindings for. Also on that tab is a button Add custom shortcut where you can define additional ones.

Have you tried contacting the FileOpen company and asking them for support? Their website says they support Linux and for that price I would expect quite a bit of support.

I was having similar problem with an old nettop with 1GB RAM. You seem to have even less. I solved my problem using Linux Mint 17 Xfce. You could try it, too. Download the file from here: http://www.linuxmint.com/edition.php?id=169 , burn it to CD, place the CD in the drive and start computer. You ...
