How do (Can) I split my 2 internet connections?

Hi everyone I know this type of question has been asked in history, but we're already in 2014, I can not find a newer post than 2011. How do I split up my internet connections. Can I for example Tell Firefox to use eth0 (3g Dongle), and force Transmission to use eth1? (ADSL) (or any program for that...

Re: I see now difference between Proprietary s/w and open-so

After you've broken and repaired a few distros and realized that you are in fact the Wizard you will never be satisfied on any other OS. As for proprietary software - if the software is really great I never mind paying for it - but then I also demand the support. This is also part of the freedom - y...

Re: Mint 17 XFCE on iMac, IT WORKS

Thanks guys! This is very good news....
I've been eyeing the Mac and the LM17 Xfce dvd...
I'll of course try the live CD thoroughly!..

But so far with Mint and 17 (and LMDE (after breaking it completely through and through)) i'm very comfortable with them... now its just the DO!

Re: Jumping to Testing or Sid

A small question about all of this even though it's perhaps an older thread... I started doing the Sid thing... I love the suspense after each upgrade of packages... About the repos... If I just add the ftp:// .... unstable repo.. leaving the LMDE standard ones is it a big problem? Should I ass the ...

Re: LMDE Glitchy sound on music and movies?<SOLVED: Sound>

Ok - I'll move to a new post soon. The sound is SOLVED and updated. The graphics is not. I'm moving to Sid repos in an attempt to install nVidia latest. Bumblebee does not work with my Custom kernel. It does work with 3.14.xx. (In future I might get clean LMDE with 3.14 kernel and Bumblebee.) - I th...

Re: What Linux Distros do you currently use?

Haha -- Very interesting. i'm using a LMDE with my own custom kernel compiled. On top of that I have the Debian Sid Distro added to get the newest dependencies for the nVidia 340 driver. I just did a dist-upgrade to this setup - Will see what happens a little later today. So far everything works ver...

Re: LMDE Glitchy sound on music and movies ?

Thanks for this one! I will give it a go tomorrow or the day after. I'm testing what Debian Sid update will do to the system. I have a friend running only Sid and the nVidia driver (340)really works well with it... The Bumblebee stuff looks great! (All the options one has on Linux is what makes me l...

Re: LMDE Installation UEFI <SUCCESS> with dual boot Windows

I didn't follow a Tutorial... I just failed and learned through... a lot of trial and error... (and various forums) I also had the experience of failing to install: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS with UEFI Debian Wheezy (installed fine on UEFI but packages was old) Debian Netinst Zorin OS on UEFI (to many trimm...

Re: LMDE Installation UEFI <SUCCESS> with dual boot Windows

And then I had sound glitches which I fixed by Building a 3.15.10 kernel from source and installing that.
This solved the sound glitch.

The nVidia drivers seems not to be working with this kernel on LMDE. Still working on that...

Re: LMDE Glitchy sound on music and movies ?

i'm trying my absolute best to add those repos, they will not add in LMDE with the normal command, and does not load manually, or with manual URL in software sources. deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/xorg-edgers/ppa/ubuntu testing main deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/xorg-edgers/ppa/ubuntu testing main...
