[solved] Linux mint and flash
I was talking on another forum about switching to LM17. So other people chimed in. "Doesn't matter which distro you are using, Adobe stopped supporting Flash on nix at Flash v11. Anything newer is a 3rd party version, and they're not great." also Often not through choice--Flash is still th...

Re: Qiana is booooooriiiing
You forgot to mention it boots quickly, updates without reboots, and politely turns off when asked. Just imagine the power savings with a billion computers using Mint! :) The power savings, funny if Mint would get an energy star rating and could say this OS can save you "X" amount over th...

I was beta testing my box of WIN PC games in WINE it was hit an miss. Beta testing is tedious I did tha...

Re: Unity and Leadwerks game engines in Linux
I PM'd you, either way the main developer is making a LINUX release of the latest game. So I kind of see Linux MOD volunteers might come in handy and desired if more Devs start pushing more LINUX code. There are tons of members that have mod groups making MODs for most all versions anyway. They were...

[solved] MB driver and ATI Driver
I have 2 emachines T3504 which seem they are in need of some drivers in LM17 32 bit cinnamon This is the first time going down this road finding Linux equivalent drivers, any pointers or help to locate them if available. I never did a Linux Hardware support hunt before. Intel Celeron D 352, 3.20 Ghz...

Re: Steam in wine
@Booman I agree with you about it being good enough and it being very helpful as a budget card too. :D I myself am on a budget! I wish I had $500-1000  I am in the same boat. I guess serves me right asking a game developer what he thinks and if it would get a good ballpark of that site members...

Tor and mac spoofing security myths
I was reading over a few old posts how some people were looking to spoof their MAC addresses or for Wifi but I did not want to revive an old thread. I look for one of the better threads to let some of your members read this. It seems many people are worried about security and or THINK they can hide ...

Re: Unity and Leadwerks game engines in Linux
Hello everyone. So like, I am a big on development of games. I'm wondering if anyone has tried using Unity (free version) to create a Linux standalone game. I will try it later today, once I get some serious bugs in my current project ironed out. Also, has anyone here heard of or tried Leadwerks? I...

Re: How do you promote Mint?
I am a moderator and member of a game mods group on an independent website. (Threads 19,587 Posts 207,527 Members 17,940 ) I know some use Linux and many members create their own game codes for a few of the game engines. I know that many members are stuck on XP and can not play some of the later hig...

Here's an older article of PC sales with Linux preloaded

Vendor links work, some look like light hardware but another few look more robust brands.
I am sure some vet member might have better source links.

Also seen a graphics card recommend on these boards which Linux sees and you can install the drivers it goes for about $14...

Here is a challenge for some of the most knowledgeable people. There is a bad mind set for windows users to over come the Linux culture. If there are any Military people or people that travel to other countries may understand what I am getting at. You don't Learn Chinese by flying to Hong Kong. Most...
