Re: How can i start Opera with custom profile - new info

This is not really a solution but you can run opera, opera beta, and opera developer which is 3 different dev. stream. And also 3 different browser being the same. :p I'm not good enough to help the way you want it, but it's an idea. Or you can go on Opera logo in opera then click on "new window", b...

Re: [SOLVED] how to get up and down arrows on scroll bars?

Re: Linux Mint 17.1 Software Manager RUN button.

It could perhaps be implemented in Software Manager by detecting a newly installed package has a .desktop file, taking the exec command from there and displaying a run button to run that command (which should in effect do the same as clicking the launcher in the menu; as the .desktop file defines t...

Re: Help!!!! I killed my GUI

I think there is a way, with booting on the iso you installed mint with.
Either with dvd or usb. You boot (on usb) and choose something like check integrity option i think.
I hope this could help.

Re: Why I'd Rather Use Windows 8 instead of Linux

I found this awful article by this misguided author about how he'd rather use Windows 8 instead of Linux. His "reasons" he writes about are absolutely ridiculous and insult the FOSS community as a whole. What do you guys think? This is really stupid and makes me very angry ! ! ! ! ! Here is the art...

Re: notification time is too short

Those tooltips you get on hover should stay there as long as you leave your mouse cursor over them. Well, they don't :( Here's an example: System settings / Date & Time / hover on "Unlock" shows a message for what I think is less than a second. I've just done it, in mint 17.1 cinnamon 64bit (fr, wi...

Re: notification time is too short

I think the notification time is about 3 or 4sec. You have the time to see it, even if you are concentrated on another thing. My notifications are in the top right corner. Then if you want to read it take the time to click on "notification", to open it up. It takes no longer than 5 sec. I think ten ...

Only one account.

Hey team ! A way to have a better linux mint experience is to have only one account to rule them all, in my opinion. For example the forum account could be use to reports bugs, ask question on the forum, send some comments to linux mint blog, IRC chat and hardware support community. So it will be ea...
