Re: Good audio player with a moving background?

I use clementine and i'm pretty difficult about that.
It does the jobs but this is the best that i actually found yet.
It could have been way cooler with some theme(s).
And it has what you want.

Currently using kernel 3.15.5 (yes, there was a reason).
by curiosity i installed the 3.16 with update manager on my laptop : wifi died.
Thankfully there is an option in mint to boot on previous kernel version !

Re: Mint Install customization options

The Mint team puts forth a product aiming at a large target, so an "out-of-the-box" experience with reasonable applications already installed is somewhat important. We're not taking about distros like Ultimate Edition that hurl everything at you. It's why i choose linux mint. We install it and use ...

Re: How To Update WindowsXP Until 2019

Let Windows XP rest in peace. This is not good to awake dead. XP is far from dead (much to the chagrin of Microsoft) . Especially when you are talking about XP Embedded which ...I suspect Vista will suffer the same fate in a few years. Anyway, for private user it is. Except for china who cracked/ha...

Hi i have two cinnamon x64. And i'm not expert. But when i installed linux mint I've done the update first. Then looking for proprietary driver the mint way. Choosing what is needed (in my case a wifi driver for laptop and nvidia driver for desktop pc). Then reboot. I didn't upgrade the kernel. Exce...

Re: Beginner experiences with Linux :-)

It is curious or perhaps telling that an OS that is so reliable and is free has such a tiny uptake among the general population. We must be doing something wrong. :P I think first the "market share" of linux is underestimated, and people are somewhat forced to buy windows/apple os alongside with th...

Yeah I know, that new release cycle is easier to understand and clever.

Re: Mint 17.1 release date?

Thx, i don't try the RC mainly because i've only production machine. That was very clever for the mint team to quit these 6 months release, who were lot of work and little utility. Plus if we can upgrade by a simple manner it is very good. When you will be able to name Rebecca (17.1) as stable pleas...

This is strange to work with a non-LTE version, 6-9 months of support is too short.
