Re: Is there a way to flash bios from mint

''Is there a way to flash bios from mint'' No. Changing the BIOS is not something you want to get wrong. If the manufacturer only provides a Windows exe file, that's what you have to use, in Windows, or do without. You certainly don't want to pick some other model's code because it's easier to inst...

Re: Is there a way to flash bios from mint

From what i've seen before, if you've got a defective device (boot drive, bad cd, etc), trying to get to the bios settings can be a challenge because said defective devices will cause a time out error that cannot be recovered from on boot. This is not an O/S fault. You may have a hardware error (as...

Re: Is lunix mint 17.1 Is a stable version

If you mean has Mint 17.1 moved from release candidate to full release status...then, yes, that happened yes...

Re: install Linux Mint 17.1 on Dell D620 Laptop

Sometime cd do not boot up as a usb would. My suggestion is trying the usb installation. You need to flash a 4gb pendrive using pendrive lunix softwate and the iso you have downloaded from windows. Do not use usb iso writer or unetboot etc they dont work. Waste of time. Also make sure your boot orde...
