When I was on 64 bit, I was on live DVD. 64 bit was not installed. 32 bit is installed.

OK I think I'll stay with 32 bit. If there is nothing to be gained, why switch.

If i upgrade to LM 17.2, how can I revert some system settings from tar cfz etc_backup.tgz /etc if need be? Also, My laptop runs Mint mate 64 bit live CD well as far as I can tell. It seems that 2 GB memory are plenty. CPU and memory are using approx 35 to 40% when running 32 bit. However CPU useage...

I am trying to run vector linux live dvd on my old desktop computer which has svga graphics but it won't run. What do I need to do to do nomodeset and set graphics for svga mode? If I can get it to run, then I would like to install it.

I opened terminal and used the following commands

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mc3man/trusty-media
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Then I used package manager to add k9copy

k9copy is installed, but doesn't run.

k9copy will run from terminal window.

I opened terminal with Cntl+Alt+T and entered command mate-panel --reset This fixed my problem.

Is it possible to get Printer Drivers for Kodak ESP 3250? I am running Mint 17.1 Mate 32 bit and am considering installing the 64 bit version. My printer works good with WindowsXP but not so good with Mint 17.1 32 bit.
