Looks like it's preinstalled: apt search mokutil i mokutil - tools for manipulating machine owner keys p mokutil:i386 - tools for manipulating machine owner keys Thanks. How can I check this if I don't have a fresh installed machine?

Re: [SOLVED] I've got a virus on Mint
The first DNS is PIA's I think. The second is Cloudflare. I've got no experience in using VPN's I was just interested in case i ever decided I needed to start using one. Check this page then https://www.privacytools.io/ I'm very happy with PIA, I'm changing only because it is US based. When I start...

Re: I've got a virus on Mint
Just a thought, any other computers in the same network that are affected? Is it possible that your router got hacked, not the PC? WOW ! This just made me realize that my laptop is under VPN while the other computer is not. Disconnected from the VPN and the problem is gone. I didn't know that the V...

Re: I've got a virus on Mint
if there is any installed add-ons in any of those browsers, then try disabling / removing them, as an first off option. then, if there is any reset option, then do that as well. the issue will be something that is common to all of those browsers, as an Linux Virus, whilst very un-likely, but it's n...

Re: I've got a virus on Mint
searching for how to remove ojrq-net-redirect only gives you more results sites and huge DOWNLOAD button for a fix which i wouldn't download especially on a winders pc if you think it's hard to get rid of i would just get rid of the whole profile and start fresh which reminds me i need to backup my...

Re: I've got a virus on Mint
yes, with all 3 browser mentioned above. And I never use firefox, so it's impossible (but don't exclude) that is something in the cache or similar.ajgringo619 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 31, 2018 10:08 pmThis sounds more like a browser hijacking than a virus. Can you replicate this in another browser?
I've never experienced virus on linux.

Re: Converting VHS to digital
I'd also like to add my 2p worth to this. When doing captures from a source such as VHS which has quite poor timing stability, it is of great benefit to use a capture method which incorporates a "genlock" (= digital frame store); this stabilizes the video and provides typically much bette...

(I couldn't even find a settings to change the date format from mm/dd/yy to the normal dd/mm/yy). Sounds strange. In my Thunderbird dd/mm/yy is the default setting, without making any changes. Maybe it's the locale, but I don't have US locale, I usually use UK for that reason. Anyway, there should ...
