[SOLVED] Shutter I can't fix the disabled edit option !!!!

I tried the usual way to fix the Edit button that is grayed out in Shutter by installing the missing libraries, but on my Mint 19 Cinnamon doesn't work.

Does anyone have an idea how to proceed or what to check?

Searched "linux arc-flatabulous", this was the 2nd item ... https://github.com/erikdubois/Ultimate-Linux-Mint-19-Cinnamon/blob/master/install-arc-flatabulous-theme-v1.sh ... though as the author says, there are no guarantees. Read it first. I tried this one already, it didn't work. It's g...

Re: [WEIRD] gcolor2 VS gcolor3

Are you sure you didn't install a flatpak/snap/appimage? BTW, https://askubuntu.com/a/1073995 worked for me on Kubuntu 18.04. I'm actually not aware of what a flatpak/snap/appimage are.. I typed flatpak/snap/appimag e into google. This was the second link: https://www.fossmint.com/flatpak-appimage-...

Re: Applications not using Theme in Linux Mint 19

it is the flatpak version Poor theme integration is a limitation of the flatpak packaging format. Mint 19 you can switch to the regular software manager version although I'd recommend using the official PPA as set out below to ensure you are using an up to date version. If you are using Mint 18.x o...

You'll be notified. I just ran a test, tried to remove org.gnome.Platform . Re: Applications not using Theme in Linux Mint 19

I'm not sure I understood what you mean How did you install KeepassXC? In software manager there are two versions - The Flatpak (version 2.3.4) and the regular Ubuntu repo version (2.3.1). Or you might have installed the appimage, added the official PPA or the snap version. it is the flatpak version

Re: What's the difference with Flathub package?

Again, that depends on you. If you need/want a new feature, use Flatpak. Also, sometimes the Mint repos have very old versions of programs that for some reason Ubuntu never bothered to upgrade. I had this happen with a program called "Okular". With as cheap as disk space is, an extra 3-5 ...

Re: What's the difference with Flathub package?

No. Flatpak libraries are shared amongst other Flatpak apps, just like Mint libraries ares shared amongst Mint apps. For example, if you decided to install the latest Gimp, Flatpak would require the Gnome platform libraries (1+ GB). Once that's installed, any new programs that require Gnome are com...

Re: What's the difference with Flathub package?

Flatpak is a alternate package manager, specializing in the latest software in a "sandboxed" environment. Unless you need the "latest-and-greatest", you're better off using the normal Mint version. Also, because Flatpak's programs are independent of the OS, it tends to require a...

Font very small on 4k Video downloader

In previous version Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon, the same app was working well.
Now, in Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon, the app fonts are super small I can't read at all.
Changing the scaling factor in fonts settings doesn't affect the app.

Any suggestion?

What's the difference with Flathub package?

While installing software using Software Manager I noticed there are two versions of the same package (in my case "Meld").
One is "normal", the other is named Flathub.

What's the difference between the two?

[WEIRD] gcolor2 VS gcolor3

I'm a big fan of gcolor2, a simple and light app that allows you to pick up any colour showing on your screen. After installing Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon, I found in the Software Manager, the new version---gcolor3 (called "color picker" in software manager). However with my surprise, in the d...

, for example KeepassXC is light theme while I set all to be dark theme.
I have a fresh install Mint 19 Cinnamon.
Theme set to Mint Y, dark.
Flatpak perchance? The PPA or repo version should honour the system theme.
I'm not sure I understood what you mean
