Cant find stdio.h header file

Hello, I'm learning C on my Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 64 bit, but for some reason gcc cannot find the stdio.h header file. This is the error I get - kabir@kabir-G50-80 ~/Programming/C $ gcc helloworld.c -o hello helloworld.c:1:19: fatal error: stdio.h: No such file or directory #include <stdio.h> ^ compila...

Hello Linux Mint Community!

Hello Everyone,

I'm happy to be running Linux Mint on my laptop, without any Windows partition. :-) I have always wanted to do this and I finally have! Great to be here and part of this amazing community.

Thanks!
Kabir

Re: Windows 10 is worse than 8

In my opinion, Windows 10 lacks originality. They took a ton of features from Linux, which they should have already included in earlier versions of Windows, for example workspaces. Why did they not include it earlier, and even window snapping. In Windows 10, a lot of how it looks has been taken from...

Re: ATI Proprietary Drivers

I just noticed today the default video player was tearing, but VLC wasn't. Youtube plays great now with the tear free settings. Menu -> Preferences -> AMD Catalyst Control Center (Administrative) When the program opens click on 'Display Options' and then a sub category 'Tear Free'. It is also linke...

Re: ATI Proprietary Drivers

The fglrx driver works fine for me on an AMD A8-4500M for my laptop. There are some advanced options in the ATI administration configuration that enable tear free options. They are disabled by default, but they work great for me. Thanks for responding. Could you please let me know what are those ad...

Re: Need Help - How To Reinstall Mint 17.2... Please! No Win

Just to update on my query - I managed to enter the GRUB by using the 'escape' key, and I entered command exit, which took me to the boot menu where I saw 2 options - 1. Ubuntu, which is Linux Mint, and 2. EFI PXE Network. Now I'm assuming if I have to reinstall, I need to hit the second option, but...

Need Help - How To Reinstall Mint 17.2... Please! No Windows

Hello I had to erase windows and install Mint 17.2 Cinnamon because the installer did not recognize Windows OS, So I just selected the erase Windows option and now my laptop is running entirely on Linux Mint 17.2, not that I regret this, 17.2 Cinnamon is awesome, but now I do not know how to re-inst...

ATI Proprietary Drivers

Hello, The reason I haven't tried using the ATI / AMD proprietary drivers is because they did not work so well on Ubuntu 14.04. It made scrolling jittery and there was an awful amount of screen tearing when moving windows. I've switched to Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon because Compiz crashed Ubuntu beyon...
