Re: Wacom Tablet

Are you able to do anything in GIMP on the tablet? I only need to use my tablet with GIMP and Inkscape. Here's what I do in GIMP. From the Input Devices screen I changed the mode of all 4 instances of Wacom, pad, cursor, eraser, stylus, from Window to Screen. It's still not working as I truly would ...

Re: Wacom Tablet

eu2, I wouldn't say 'everyone' bailed :). I'm not half as knowledgeable about Linux as most members here and I truly would not want to give the OP wrong advice, that would only compound the problem and cause only more frustration. I have a Bamboo Fun CTE-450 that I used way back in Win XP; it was ga...

Hey Ami, another member eu2, left you some other followup steps here

You may want to keep to only one thread, or check both so as not to miss any reply that might help.

Re: Install Wacom Tablet

Did you get that error while trying to installing libwacom2 and libwacom-common? Where did you download them? I had no trouble installing them. I got them from: http://packages.ubuntu.com/yakkety/amd64/libwacom2/download for libwacom2 and http://packages.ubuntu.com/yakkety/all/libwacom-common/downlo...

As well as changing my kernel, this was one of the things that helped me. Have a look if you will.

Re: Wacom Tablet

When I upgraded my kernel to 4.4.0-38, Cinnamon 17.2 recognized my Wacom Bamboo Fun in the Tablet Settings. I just upgraded to 4.4.0-45 (upgraded because of the Dirty COW security fix) and it's still detected. So far my computer is still in working order. I guess the kernel upgrades will work, or no...

Has anyone used Intelligent Scissors? I can select the region but I can't get it to set the background. @larry316, It's best to start a new post with a new subject line relevant to what you are asking. This one is about Gimp and is marked as solved so you may not get an answer as soon as you could ...

Re: SHIFT or ESC won't access Grub menu. What else?

If prestonR's suggestion doesn't work, try what I wrote in the following post: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=232018&p=1229379#p1229379 . I had same problem on one of my computers and only thing that ended up working was re-installing grub -- described near bottom of linked post....

Re: SHIFT or ESC won't access Grub menu. What else?

Are you able to boot Mint ? Is it a single boot or dual boot? Or do you need to boot with different kernel though you can boot the system.? deepakdeshp. I am able to boot into Mint and it is a single boot. Yes, I just want to be able to boot with a different kernel. I'm trying to configure my very ...

Re: SHIFT or ESC won't access Grub menu. What else?

Try 'Tab' first, might work. You can force the menu by editing your grub file so it looks like this: GRUB_DEFAULT=0 #GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0 #GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=true GRUB_TIMEOUT=10 GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR=`lsb_release -i -s 2> /dev/null || echo Debian` GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" GRUB_...

[SOLVED] SHIFT or ESC won't access Grub menu. What else?

I found several posts on this forum and other places about how to get into grub to select an older kernel. The 2 most popular ones I saw were, pressing the SHIFT or ESC keys after POST. Another is the editing of one or some of these lines in the grub file GRUB_DEFAULT=0 GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0 GRUB_HI...

Re: Wacom Tablet

Got it working (installed .22) but can't map the keys -no map button option. Perhaps because it's an older version.
