Re: Minty forum style testing

I unsurprisingly like the middle option with the slightly more lively green.

I've noticed that some texts, for example the word 'submit' on the submit button after being pressed, still show up as blue.

Re: Why I still prefer Windows over Linux

I'm not trying to convince anyone, nor am I trying to blame anyone. I fully admit it was my own fault. Okay, I can see that. Still, you're drawing conclusions about Linux based OSses, not about yourself. I don't think Mint or any other "major" distro is hard to use. My complaint is that in order to...

Re: Why I still prefer Windows over Linux

Linux on the desktop is another matter. It's made up of too many parts that a Mint, or an Ubuntu, or a Fedora has absolutely no control over. No desktop Linux distro is in control over all these parts. I'm with Pjotr on this. Desk/laptop Linux works just fine for me as a user. Furthermore, I don't ...

Re: Why I still prefer Windows over Linux

So you prefer Windows over Linux because you, as an advanced user, could not find the GUI tool that's present in your installation that does exactly the thing that you want? You are free to feel the way you feel, and to base your feelings on absolutely nothing at all if you want, but I can't find yo...

Re: Minty forum style testing

Blue highlight when hovering over a row in the notifications and members list has been removed and the highlight now works the same as in the topics list. It looks great in the notifications dropdown. Not so much in the members list because it's the same colour as the darker entries in that list. I...

Re: Minty forum style testing

A choice remains to be made for the muted or bright icons as I mentioned before I don't have a strong opinion there. They both look like good options. Honestly, I don't think anyone cares as much as you do... Okay, I would pick the brighter ones. Memberslist (https://forums.linuxmint.com/memberlist...

The margin/page background swapped with the darker of the two backgrounds behind the posts... I assume. Is that right?

Which version are you using? XFCE is the lightest and should be the fastest; that said, on 8 GB of RAM any version should run well, so I'm suspecting there is something wrong.

Oh wait, there was 'minty' and now there is 'minty new'. I bet that has something to do with it! Smells like a work in progress... I'll just try to summon up some patience. :)
