How can I remove from Firefox? I didn’t see any uninstall options.
You can't uninstall Firefox Shockwave Flash, but you can set it to never activate in Add Ons, Plugins. The arrow at the far right has Ask to Activate, Always Activate and Never Activate option.

Re: Shockwave Flash 32.0.0.156

I'm confused. Running Mint 19.0 When I look in Firefox plugins it lists Shockwave Flash 32.0.0.156, last updated 2/25/19. I want to rid my system of Flash which I never personally installed. Uncertain if it could have been installed when I installed Mint back in August on my laptop. However when I ...

Re: Tessa Update Manager recommends strange upgrades

It's unfortunate that error messages scare you, but we really cannot replace it with a pink bunny hopping across the screen to entertain you until you provide a driver source. For most users error messages have proven more effective. How about some happy rabbits, a hippo and a blue man :mrgre...

Don't you think it's more likely your drive was already going bad, which is why your system was locking up.

Same result, Kevin

I'm just going to do a fresh install.
Maybe someone with Clonezilla experience has seen this.

I had the same error as you last week after installing a new distro and was able to correct with those 3 commands. :o

Re: Can't boot HD after Clonezilla backup

EDIT 1: sudo update-grub results in "/usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: failed to get canonical path of `/cow'" Tried sudo apt reinstall grub. Still can't boot from HD. EDIT 2: I have Timeshift backups on an external drive. Will restoring a backup while booted from the Live USB fix the problem? Try: sudo...

Re: New to Mint 19.1 Tessa

This morning I managed to get a functional icon for LibreOffice Writer onto my Panel, as it is listed in my Menu under "Office". Then I went back to trying to put a link (I don't know what else to call it) to Yahoo Mail with no luck. I have the link (an icon I can click-on to launch Yahoo mail) to ...

Re: New to Mint 19.1 Tessa

If you go to the menu and find a program you wish to add to the panel, right-click it and there should be an add to panel option.

This is for the Cinnamon desktop.

When I check for my current version it says 45.0. Perhaps I should upgrade.
If you'd like, I can provide a way to install and add Opera to your update repository with the Terminal.

Re: Linux Mint 17.x reaches end of life in April

At this point, to compensate for the heavier footprint of LM 19, one could switch form Cinnamon to Mate or Xfce (if one was on Cinnamon to begin with, that is), but I couldn't help feeling forced to make the switch if I ended up having to. The development team promised an improved performance for M...

Re: [SOLVED] moved to workspace right

I don't need 4 workspaces, not now anyway. It's overkill for me. I wish that I knew how to easily re-arrange windows in the taskbar without having to open them in the right order, though... EDIT: wait... opening them in the order that I wish to see them in into the taskbar doesn't do anything. Dang...

[SOLVED] installed Mex Linux 18.04

I'm always trying out new distros, but this time the distro in question, Mex Linux 18.04 created an error in Grub. This has never happened to me before. When booting, all I got was the Grub prompt. I dug out my old Linux Mint 17.2 DVD and booted up the Live session. I tried sudo update-grub, but all...

Thats the problem. In preferences>applets>The system tray is off and locked. I can't get into the systray
ok, highlight System Tray with the mouse.

If it's activated there will be a checkmark beside the lock.

To activate it, go to the bottom and hit +
